Synopsis: Biographical drama about the last twenty-five years of the life of the nineteenth-century English artist J.M.W. Turner. Turner is profoundly affected by the death of his father and forms a close relationship with Sophia Booth, a seaside landlady. But his ex-lover and housekeeper Sarah Danby, with whom he has two illegitimate adult daughters, still craves his attention.
